Public notices: New premises licence application for Windsor wine shop

A new premises licence application for a wine shop in Windsor features in this week’s public notices.

Licensing

Hughes Wine & Provisions Ltd has applied to RBWM for a new premises licence at 49 Thames Street in Windsor.

The application seeks permission to sell alcohol (off the premises) from Monday to Sunday from 9am to 8pm.

Road closures

The Royal Borough will be temporarily closing Mellor Walk for its entire length to facilitate tower crane erection works at a development site.

The order will be in force between 7am ad 8pm on Wednesday, January 28. There will be no alternative route available.

Elsewhere, part of St Mark’s Road in Windsor from its junction with St Mark’s Place, eastward to the eastern boundary of 26 St Mark’s Road is being temporarily closed to traffic by RBWM.

The purpose of the order is to facilitate service pipe repair works and will be in operation from 7am on Wednesday, January 28 to 7pm on Thursday, January 29.

The diversion route for those affected will be via St Mark’s Road, St Leonards Road, Queens Road, Alma Road and St Mark’s Road.

The council is also intending to make an order to temporarily shut part of B3022 Thames Street to traffic, from its junction with Castle Hill to its junction with River Street.

This is to facilitate a crane operation and will be in force from 9pm on Monday, February 9 to 6am on Tuesday, February 10.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposed order will be via River Street, B470 Thames Avenue, B470 Datchet Road, B470 King Edward VII Avenue, B470 Windsor Road, B3021 Southlea Road, B3021 Datchet Road, B3021 Windsor Road, A308 Datchet Road, A308 Albert Road, A308 Kings Road, A308 Osborne Road, A308 Frances Road, A308 Alma Road, A308 Osborne Road, B3022 Frances Road, B3022 Sheet Street and B3022 High Street.

Next month, Slough Borough Council (SBC) is proposing to make an order to stop traffic from proceeding through Oldway Lane in Slough, from 595 Oldway Lane to the electrical sub station in Oldway Lane.

The order is needed because of works that are or are proposed to be conducted on or near the road.

If made, the order will come into force at 12.01am on Monday, February 9, with all works expected to be completed by 11.59pm on the same day.

An alternative route will be available, with a local diversion sign at the site.
