THERE was quite a shock in store for groundsmen at the South Oxfordshire Technical College first thing on Tuesday morning — a large hole had appeared overnight near the senior common room. Later on the same day Mr Reg Judd, head of community education, rang Mr Tom Hassell, director of the Oxfordshire Archaeological Unit, who advised that the hole should not be filled in until it has been investigated.
Pupils from Gillotts School in Henley are brightening up the lives of the young patients at Smith Hospital for autistic children. Since the start of the term eight art pupils from the school have spent a few hours a week at the school painting the bedroom walls of Nettlebed Ward with their cheerful pictures.
