A body found in the River Thames near Wraysbury is believed to be that of a man missing for more than two weeks.

Ruslanas Zaicovas, 50, was reported missing from the Wraysbury area on Monday 26 August 2024.

Officers were called to the Wraysbury/Staines area of the Thames at around 2.30pm yesterday (September 9) following reports of a body in the water.

Detective Inspector Liam Butler, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “Sadly, we have discovered the body of a man, who we believe to be Ruslanas.

“Ruslanas’ family have been informed and are being supported by officers. Our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.”
