Man remains in critical condition after fire at garage in Wraysbury

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a fire at a garage in Wraysbury which has left a man with life-threatening injuries.

Emergency services were called to a garage on The Green at about 3.35pm on Saturday, September 6.

A man aged in his 30s was hospitalised following the blaze and he remains in a critical condition, Thames Valley Police said.

The force is appealing for anyone who witnessed the fire, including those who rushed to help from the nearby pub, The Perseverance, to come forward if they have any information.

Investigating officer Detective Constable George Randell said: “Firstly, our thoughts are with the victim of this fire and his loved ones at this difficult time.

“We are currently leading the investigation into the fire’s cause, supported by the Health and Safety Executive.

“I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward; several people from The Perserverance public house opposite went to the man’s aid so I would like to speak to any of those outstanding.

“Furthermore, anyone who was driving a vehicle with a dash-cam or anyone with CCTV cameras or video doorbells in the area at the time of the incident, please check your recordings in case it has captured anything that may help us."
