HENLEY’S Bar Med is to install CCTV cameras following neighbours’ complaints of bad language, nudity, vandalism and violence at closing time. A licensing committee at South Oxfordshire District Council made the order as a condition of renewing the bar’s public entertainment licence. Angry residents of Bell Street Mews told the licensing sub-committee of alleged closing time incidents including a topless woman running down the street and vandalism.
A Henley policeman was beaten with a crowbar after he caught an armed gang escaping from a robbery that went wrong. PC Ian Roy suffered serious injuries when he tackled the robbers as they left Dillons Newsagents in Greys Road at 11pm on Sunday.
