A YOUTH named Archibald Faulkes, of Grange Road, Henley, met with an unfortunate accident on Sunday evening. With two companions, he was cycling to Reading and when on the top of Span Hill he went on in front. As he was descending the hill there were six lads spread across the road and he ran into one of them, the collision causing him to be thrown over his handlebars. He was rendered unconscious and had three teeth knocked out.
Although the weather was most unpropitious on Monday evening, the weekly drive promoted by Messrs Lusted and Jenner at the Victoria Hall was well supported. Next Monday there is to be a semi-partner drive, starting with a miniature at 7.30pm and followed by the big drive at 8pm.
