STONOR PARK, which has been in the ownership of the same family since before the Norman conquest, is to be sold because taxation and inflation have taken their toll. Three weeks ago the owners, Lord and Lady Camoys, put the property in the hands of the Historic Buildings Bureau and estate agents Knight Frank and Rutley in London and Herbert & Co in Henley.
About 150 people attended an evening in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind at the town hall on Wednesday of last week organised by Mrs Phyllis Evans. Mr Malcolm Jarman, Midland’s organiser of the charity, was present with his own guide dog and introduced three films on the training of a dog from birth to the school where the dog meets its owner.
