Anna Schofield married Mick Jagger's nephew Robert in June 2011.
Anna shares her wedding story.

Rob proposed at our family home in Somerset. We met 20 years ago, aged 8, while at Millfield prep school! We had a marquee venue set among the most beautiful, totally private grounds at Old Worleys with stunning far-reaching views across the valley of Henley towards the Chilterns.
Sunshine – and a shower
Kate Hopewell Smith was an amazing find. She is a young, lovely and incredibly talented photographer with an artist’s eye who, as she says, tells your story through images. She was fun to be with, understanding and very discreet at all times. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Barefoot bride
The ceremony took place in the beautiful 17th century barn at Old Worleys with the sun streaming in through enormous vaulted windows overlooking a romantic courtyard garden smothered in roses. The ceremony was due to take place in the rose garden but a violent burst of rain and thunder put a very last minute stop to that. Anna came into the barn barefoot with her father.
Love at first wear
My dress was designed by Sassi Holford and made from ivory silk and antique lace. It was the second dress I put on and I fell in love with it right away. My top tip would be – don’t keep looking. you fall in love with – it buy it!
The groom wore an ivory linen suit. We had decided not to go with morning dress as we wanted, more than anything, for our guests to feel relaxed. The two older bridesmaids Christina and Anna wore long ivory silk chiffon dresses from French Connection. The flower girls, Tula, Naja and India, nieces of the groom, all under four, wore fairy dresses.
The page boys were our two little boys Thelonius (five) and Marley (three). They were dressed from head to foot in JoJo Maman Bébé. Gorgeous!
Home-grown bouquet
I carried a bouquet of sweet peas and the bridesmaids had white roses with sprigs of lavender, thyme and rosemary. The little bridesmaids wore garlands of tiny pink roses intertwined with thyme in their hair. All the flowers were grown at Old Worleys.
My mother, Helen, was the one who put the garlands and bouquets together. She did them on the morning of the wedding (no pressure!) using flowers and herbs from the garden. She drew the line at my garland saying it was too much of a responsibility. So this is where Niki from The White Garden in Henley came in. The garland was simple but beautiful with tiny white roses intertwined with Alchemilla mollis (Lady’s Mantle).
Niki understood within minutes of meeting exactly the look I was looking for and what she created was perfect. She was another wonderful find. www.white-garden.co.uk
The confetti was thrown from baskets filled with mixed rose petals.
Any umbrellas
Music has always been a big feature in my life. My father, and my now father- in-law, are both in the business. We had a wonderful fiddler to play during our ceremony and later in the evening Chris Jagger (my father-in-law) and his band played and various members of the family and friends joined in!
The reception was held in a stunning marquee with huge panoramic windows on all sides giving breathtaking views around the rolling countryside of Old Worleys.
We had chosen to decorate it with fabulous huge umbrellas from Bali (available to hire from Old Worleys) which were placed through each table as a centre piece. I used fresh herbs, rosemary, thyme, mint, chives, basil and coriander mixed with stunning rose blooms and stately delphiniums from the cutting gardens around the house. The stunning umbrellas and glass lamps looked just as beautiful during the day as they did twinkling by candlelight – wonderful when darkness descended.
Catering was by Prue Roger of Flackwell Heath.
The cake was created by Arthur Potts Dawson, who trained with the Roux brothers and was head chef at the River Café and executive head chef at Jamie Oliver’s Number Fifteen. It was made with white and dark chocolate – both our families are chocoholics. It was soooo good. It not only looked incredible but tasted divine.
Honeymoon
For our honeymoon we chose Bali for some aqua seas and then onto New Zealand for some fun in the mountains.
When you fall in love with a dress don’t keep looking, buy it.
