Claires Court's U15s team surged into the Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) National Semi-Finals with a resounding 7-1 victory over Milton Abbey last Friday.

The match, played at Ascot United's ground saw Claires Court take control from the outset with captain Schofield curling a free kick into the top corner from 30 yards inside the opening two minutes.

They continued to dominate the early exchanges, and crisp passing saw them maintain possession and starve opponents Milton Abbey of the ball.

Despite forging ahead through Schofield's early strike, they couldn’t turn their early dominance into further goals and Milton equalised against the run of play after 20 minutes.

They didn't allow that setback to negatively affect them, however, and restored their lead just before half-time when Gorton scored from just inside the box after some smart build up play.

They then went on to control the second half, scoring five more goals without reply to ensure their progress to the final four of the competition.

Star performances came from Carson and Biggs who pulled the strings for Claires Court throughout.

Despite a valiant effort from Milton Abbey the second half got away from them as Claires Court clinically and ruthlessly punished any errors.

Despite having had only one training session since the Christmas break, they found their rhythm with Scott, Abrahams, Biggs and a second goal each from Schofield and Gorton completing a comfortable win.

Speaking after the match, the team's coach praised the players' determination and teamwork:

"It’s always difficult coming into a big game with such little preparation with five players unavailable due to injury and illness,” they said. “A number of boys were bought in and did very well.”

With this impressive victory, Claires Court U15s now set their sights on the ISFA National Semi-Finals, where they hope to continue their winning streak and edge closer to the coveted championship title.
