A McDonald’s restaurant in Slough has re-opened following a re-vamp which looks to deliver ‘better customer experience for all’.
The Bath Road venue, owned and operated by local franchisee Richard Forte, has been closed over recent weeks to undergo renovation works as part of the fast-food chain’s ‘Convenience of the Future’ restaurant redesign programme.
The revamp programme combines a new restaurant layout with the latest technology to create a more ‘seamless and enjoyable experience for customers’.
The Drive Thru has been transformed with the addition of a side-by-side lane, featuring new digital screens.
Other improvements at the restaurant include a front counter redesign, creating specific areas for different channels.
There is also a dedicated waiting area and entrance for couriers, a new kitchen design with a bigger order assembly area and specific areas to prepare dine-in orders, and improved break spaces and redesigned crew rooms for staff.
The redesigned kitchen and dining areas will ‘better integrate’ digital sales channels, the McDonald’s App and ‘make smarter use of internal space’.
Richard Forte, who owns and operates 15 McDonald’s restaurants across Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, said: “I’m proud to reinvest in our Slough restaurant - especially as McDonald’s celebrates its 50th anniversary in the UK this year.
“The dining area is more contemporary, and we now have separate facilities for our dine-in customers and our couriers leading to a better experience for everyone.
“It’s exciting to see the fresh new look and feel of our Slough restaurant and I’m confident the changes will not only benefit our customers but also our staff as they will help make their jobs a little easier.”
