The new president of Windsor and Eton Inner Wheel has announced her chosen charities for the year.
The club welcomed Daphne Fido as its president for 2012 to 2013 when Beryl Warman handed over the reins at the July meeting.
Mrs Fido has chosen three charities to support during her year in office - the Community Responders of the South Central Ambulance Service, the locally based Family Friends and AMREF (African Medical Research).
The last named charity was also supported by Mrs Fido's husband John when he was president of Windsor St George Rotary Club.
The Inner Wheel was first established for the wives and daughters of Rotarians at a time when women could not join the Rotary. Now it is a flourishing organisation in its own right.
The Windsor and Eton branch meets the first Tuesday of every month at the Manor Hotel, Datchet.
