JAZZ pianist Janette Mason is at Progress Theatre tonight (Friday) with ReWired, an evening of repertoire drawing on a diverse range of influences.
Janette will be supported by long-term collaborators Tom Mason on bass and Eric Ford on drums.
The music, under her inventive arrangements, is inspired by people from Rodgers and Hart to Gary Numan, David Bowie, Kate Bush and Noel Gallagher.
The film and TV composer, arranger and producer has played tiny jazz clubs in addition to working on international projects.
Over the last 30 years, while leading her trio, Janette has played sessions with Oasis, Pulp and Seal, worked with producer Tony Visconti, taught jazz at Bradfield College and become artist in residence at Twickenham Theatre.
Jazz at Progress, at The Mount in Christchurch Road, Reading, starts at 7.30pm (bar open from 7pm) and tickets cost £20 (£18 concessions, £10 under-16s).
