Two students from Langley Grammar School were given the chance to visit First World War battlefields in Belgium and France.
Matthew Trewen and Jarmail Atwal along with curriculum director for humanities, Kevin Langford, were part of a group of 15 who took part in a four-day tour of the Western Front.
The group also visited museums, memorials and cemeteries as part of the Government-funded First World War Centenary Battlefields Tour Programme.
"The centenary project has provided students and teachers with a wonderful and perhaps once in a lifetime opportunity," said Mr Langford.
The tour began on March 2.
