First ever Maidenhead Craft Beer Festival set to come to town in May

A Maidenhead-based celebration of the independent beer scene across the UK is set to come to the town in May and offer a ‘kickstart’ to the summer.

The first ever Maidenhead Craft Beer Festival is set to take place on May 3 and 4 this year, a Saturday and Sunday.

Held at Maidenhead United Football Club in York Road, the festival will showcase an ‘incredible’ line up of independent breweries from across the country.

This will offer attendees a chance to enjoy a wide selection of craft beers in a ‘vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.’

Accompanied by ‘top-quality street food’ and live DJ sets, the festival’s organisers hope it will become a major highlight in Maidenhead’s events calendar.

This inaugural festival aims to establish itself as a key event for the region’s craft beer enthusiasts, fostering a strong community around independent brewing.

Alongside the beer selection, festival-goers can expect a lively social experience, with entertainment and a range of fringe events leading up to the weekend.

This event promises an ‘unmissable weekend for craft beer lovers,’ say its organisers – A Hoppy Place and Berks & Bucks Events Collective CIC.

To bring this event to the town, the family-run craft beer establishment is teaming up with the newly formed CIC – which is also planning another new event, the Maidenhead Summer Festival, for later in the year.

The pair is also in partnership with Stripes Sports Bar, Maidenhead United’s dedicated sports bar. In a statement, the organisers said: “We’re thrilled to bring this festival to Maidenhead, celebrating some of the best independent brewers in the country. Whether you’re a seasoned craft beer fan or just curious to explore, this festival will have something for everyone.”

Session times on both days are from noon to 5pm and 6pm to 11pm.

Tickets can be bought on Eventbrite and are £10 plus a booking fee – and this price includes ‘an exclusive festival glass.’

More details and brewery announcements are set to follow, along with information on a range of fringe events surrounding the festivities.
