A man has been jailed for robbery after threatening staff and stealing cigarettes and tobacco from a Slough shop.
Gurprinder Singh, 26, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of robbery and was sentenced to three years and eight months’ imprisonment at Reading Crown Court on Friday, November 28.
Singh entered a shop in Slough, threatened staff and stole a large quantity of cigarettes and tobacco on July 28.
Investigator Shan Ugra said: "I am pleased that Singh has been convicted and given a custodial sentence by the courts.
“The victims in this case have shown great bravery in the face of violence.
"Thames Valley Police are committed to bringing offenders such as Gurprinder Singh to justice.”
