Slough man jailed for attempted burglaries at Morrisons stores

A Slough man has been jailed for a year following attempted burglaries at two Morrisons Daily stores in Beaconsfield and Burnham. 

Adrian Levitt, 52, of Wellington Street in Slough was sentenced to 12 months in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of business burglary at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 29. 

On Tuesday, July 22 and Wednesday, July 23, Levitt broke into two Morrisons Daily stores in Beaconsfield and Burnham and attempted to steal cigarettes. 

Levitt was arrested for the offences on Thursday, August 21 and charged a day later on Friday, August 22. 

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Conor Cormican, of the Buckinghamshire Priority Crime Team, said: “I hope this outcome provides reassurance and sends a strong message that burglary will not be tolerated and will be met with firm consequences.

“Thames Valley Police’s Priority Crime Teams remain committed to investigating burglaries and seek to ensure that those who profit from crime are brought to justice.
