Mock the Week's Andy Parsons comes to Norden Farm

TV’s Andy Parsons – a famed and much-loved face on the popular Mock the Week panel show – will be showing up to provide laughs at Norden Farm this month.

‘Andy Parsons: Please #@!$ Off to Mars’ is on tour and arrives in Maidenhead on Saturday, September 27.

The he show is billed with the tagline ‘Life is hard – come and have a laugh about it.’

As with much of Parsons’ comedy, expect topical and satirical, drawing on current events, politics, and social commentary.

Parsons is best known as a regular panellist on BBC Two’s topical satirical show Mock the Week. A long-time famous face, he joined the show at around Series 3 and stayed until Series 14.

He has also appeared, among other places, on QI, Live at the Apollo, They Think It’s All Over, The PMQ Show, and the BBC's Stand-Up Show.

Like many writers, he got started on Radio 4's Week Ending  alongside Henry Naylor

The pair were offered their own show, Parsons and Naylor’s Pull-Out Sections in 2001, which ran for nine series on Radio 2.

Parsons also wrote for Spitting Image and Noel's House Party among others.

Having come up partly through the Edinburgh Fringe as a duo, Parsons performed his first solo show at the Fringe in 2000 – and returned regularly until 2006.

He is a regular member of the Comedy Store topical show Cutting Edge and has performed internationally.

Parsons has had several solo stand-up tours, many sold-out, and won a Time Out award for comedy in 2002.

The show begins at 8pm on September 27 in the Courtyard Theatre. Doors open about 30 minutes earlier.
