Slough Post Office closed earlier this month.
Retailers in Slough are still being encouraged to come forward to provide a new home for the town centre Post Office.
Earlier this month, Slough Post Office closed after WHSmith in the High Street, which housed the branch, announced it would be closing after the company decided not to renew its lease.
Prior to the closure, the Post Office said it was advertising a vacancy for a retailer to come forward to provide a premises for the service.
But despite being contacted by many people who would like to open a Post Office in Slough, no suitable premises have been found.
The service is still keen to hear from existing retailers in the town centre who are interested in taking up the opportunity.
A Post Office spokesperson said: “We have been contacted by many people who want to open a Post Office in Slough, but none currently have premises, therefore they would need to find suitable premises.
“We are also keen to hear from existing retailers in Slough town centre who are interested in taking on this business opportunity. The vacancy is advertised on www.runapostoffice.co.uk
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of Slough Post Office and we are working hard to restore service as soon as possible. In the interim alternative branches include Stoke Poges Lane, Chalvey and Farnham Road.”
