Anthony Robertson, 36, of Patrick Haugh Road, Bicester.
A 36-year-old man has been imprisoned for 28 months after a year's worth of shoplifting offences in Slough and Maidenhead.
Anthony Robertson, of Patrick Haugh Road, Bicester, stole 14 times from various outlets between May 2024 and November 2025.
Robertson stole hundreds of pounds each time, including more than £800 several times from the Boots in Bath Road, Slough.
This was his biggest target; he stole from the Boots 11 times in total, taking a total of more than £10,506’s worth of items from there.
Robertson mainly stole high-value perfumes and other body care items. The most he stole at once was £4,185 worth of goods. In another incident, he stole more than £1,468.
Other shops targeted include a Co-op and a One Stop in Slough and the Tesco in Bath Road, Maidenhead, where he stole £400’s worth of goods at once.
Police linked the offences together after reviewing CCTV footage from multiple incidents, which showed Robertson as the same offender in each case.
He was arrested on November 12 and was charged on December 22 with 14 counts of theft from a shop.
The case was committed to the Reading Crown Court for sentencing on Thursday (March 13) where he received a 28-month custodial sentence.
This publication understands that Boots has introduced new measures to protect itself, including body cameras for team members and a CCTV monitoring centre.
Across its stores, it has also invested in digital software to increase its ability to link offenders and report directly to the police.
A Boots spokesperson said: "We continue to invest significantly in measures that will deter and disrupt criminal activity, stop theft, protect our team members, and support the police with high-quality evidence, so that our stores remain a safe and respectful environment for team members and customers."
