Slough Jets kept up their fine start to the season with two further victories over the weekend, Lukas Smital's team getting the better of Solent on Saturday and Oxford on Sunday.
It took them just half a minute to get off the mark against Solent, Bradon Miles scoring the opener to set them on their way to another straightforward win.
Dylan Holika netted a shorthanded goal for the Jets at 3.41 before Alex Murray got Solent back into the contest with a powerplay strike at 5.08.
The Jets have generally responded well to setbacks this season and they did so again when Alex Rosam restored their two goal cushion at 9.58.
This was snuffed out in the final period with Goodchild scoring again from a powerplay and Liam Clark grabbing the side's seventh to make Elliot Lewis's second of the night pretty much redundant.
The Jets then added another win to this season's growing tally at Oxford City Stars on Sunday.
Surprisingly, the Stars opened the scoring at 10.29, but it was the wake up call the Jets needed and they responded swiftly and emphatically. Jacob Minter scored at 10.45 to make it 1-1 and further goals from Jack Goodchild at 12.54 and Timo Lindgren at 16.17 gave the visitors some breathing space.
Slough stretched their lead with further goals from Seb Mohr and Oli Hemmings-Mayer before Oxford beat Connor Dudley in the Jets net to grab another goal.
The Jets then strengthened their advantage with Goodchild's second, another strike from Hemming-Mayer and a goal from Brandon Miles before the second break.
Miles converted a powerplay goal at 41.58 for his second of the night and Luke Smital made it 10 for the Jets at 46.27 before Oxford managed another consolation goal at 51.59. The Jets weren't quite done though, adding an 11th through Harvey Harman at 53.41.
Slough Jets Head Coach Lukas Smital reflected: “It’s great to keep our winning streak going with two more impressive performances away from home. We got good goaltending from both Matt and Connor over the weekend and every played a part on the ice in securing two more wins.” He continued; “This weekend we face Milton Keynes at home and Chelmsford away.
“Milton Keynes are a team we’ve already met this season but Sunday will be our first encounter with the Chieftains this year.
“The Chieftains have always put out a good team and we know we’ll have to be at our best again this weekend.”
Slough Jets next host Milton Keynes Thunder at the Slough Ice Arena on Saturday. Doors open from 5.45pm and face off is at 6.30pm. On Sunday Slough Jets travel to Chelmsford.
