Maidenhead Town’s Kennet A league team delivered a good win over Caversham in an evening match on Tuesday last week, winning 92-58.
Playing in Division B, Town won on all four of the rinks and the dropping temperature did not deter their hunger for victory.
Captain Tim Eales said: “It was a match of nip and tuck but winning the last couple of ends conclusively sealed the win and rounded off a good-natured occasion.”
Maidenhead Town’s KLV D team secured a narrow victory over Desborough Bowls Club on Friday in their first official game of the season.
The match was a close-run affair with Town edging it 57-54. Their best performing players were Jeff Simpson, Chris Schweir and new Town player Paul Burrow-Newton. Other new players John Holton and Josef Konrad also contributed to this narrow early season win.
