Stormtroopers and characters from an array of comic universes are set to descend on Maidenhead for the town’s first Comic Con.
Sci-fi lovers and comic book enthusiasts can attend the inaugural family-friendly convention at Braywick Leisure Centre on Sunday.
Attractions will include an exact replica of Batman’s Tumbler from the legendary Christian Bale films.
Stormtroopers from the Star Wars universe will also be patrolling the venue.
Mark Woollard, from organisers Striking Events, said the convention is designed to be a welcoming, inclusive event for all the family.
“Its really open to everyone and everyone seems to enjoy it,” Mark said.
“Everyone leaves with a smile on their face because its very different to what you can do on a normal day.
“You don’t get to meet Stormtroopers every day.”
A retro gaming area featuring consoles from years gone by will be on offer.
A costume competition is also taking place at 1pm where visitors can show off their comic book-inspired outfits. Card collectors can gather in the card gaming area while a 360-degree photo booth will also be available.
A range of exhibitors selling artwork are also set to feature at the convention.
Tickets can be purchased online by visiting www.strikingevents.com
On-the-door tickets are available but priority will be given to advanced ticket-holders if it is busy.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm.
