Additional security measures will be in place for Slough Town’s National League South fixture with Farnborough this Saturday following the crowd trouble that followed the Rebels’ 2-1 FA Trophy victory over the Yellows in November.
A number of visiting supporters clashed with home fans at Arbour Park after the cup game on Saturday, November 18, with video footage posted online showing two individuals falling to the floor.
Thames Valley Police said it was investigating reports following the incident and Slough Town player/manager Scott Davies told the Express at the time that he was appalled with the scenes.
A joint statement from Slough Town and Farnborough, published on Tuesday afternoon, said: “Ahead of the upcoming National League South match at Arbour Park on Saturday, December 16, we would like to make supporters aware of additional security measures which will be in place due to the recent incident between supporters.
“Farnborough Football Club have issued banning orders to several individuals, and these individuals are also banned from Arbour Park.
“The match will be segregated. Farnborough supporters will enter Arbour Park via turnstile 2 (north-east corner) and will have access to the east side of the ground, including the Berkeley Community stand, a bar, catering provision, and toilets.
“Slough Town supporters will enter via turnstile 4 (south-west corner).
“Additional security staff will be in attendance, including a number from Farnborough.
“Both home and away supporters can purchase tickets online in advance or pay at the turnstiles on the day. Discounted tickets are available online up to 2pm on Saturday, after which normal matchday admission prices apply.”
