Slough Town announced on Wednesday evening that the directors of the club have accepted an offer to sell the club to A23 Football Group Ltd.

The A23 Football Group operate several successful businesses operating in the football and education sectors. Once the deal has been formally approved by the FA and the National League the group will obtain the majority shareholding of the club.

Slough’s directors have also been persuaded by the group's exciting vision for the club, which it intends to develop both on and off the pitch.

They are also fully committed to helping the club maintain its place in the National League South, with results having recently picked up under new player manager Scott Davies.

Current directors Mike Lightfoot and Kay Lathey will continue to work on the day-to-day operations of the club and retain a minority share as they join a newly formed club board.

Adrian Gomm will also continue in his current role, helping the Rebels to build relationships and partnerships within the community.

Today's statement read: “Once the paperwork has been completed by the Football Association and the National League, we will then be in a position to officially announce A23 Football Group as the new owners of Slough Town Football Club.”
