Children at The Colleton primary school in Twyford created a special ‘human crown’ to mark the coronation of King Charles III.
Dressed in red, white and blue and waving union flags, the children (aged 3-11) were captured by a drone as it flew over their playground.
The morning started off with a coronation assembly, where visiting Twyford parish councillors Martin Alder and Bridget Ditcham presented each child with a commemorative china mug.
The children then sang a coronation song, ‘Sing for the King’, and later enjoyed a whole school picnic.
Sandra Thomas, PA to the headteacher, said that many of the children spoke of how their grandparents told them about the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and that they, too, will ‘remember and tell their grandchildren about their day.’
