Two bus companies have introduced new routes connecting Maidenhead and High Wycombe, as well as Twyford and Reading.
Thames Valley Buses’ Service 20, which was launched today, will run every hour for six days a week between Maidenhead, Cookham, Bourne End, Flackwell Heath and Wycombe.
Reading Buses has also introduced the route 12 between Twyford, Charvil and Reading, which will run every 30 minutes during its hours of operation from Monday to Saturday.
Thames Valley Buses’ General Manager Simon Fisher said: “We are delighted to introduce this new route for customers giving them a great option to get between Maidenhead and High Wycombe.
“We are operating brand-new buses on this route so customers will get the most comfortable journey possible and all the mod-cons too.”

Service 20 will operate every hour daily from Monday to Saturday, and passes St Mark’s Hospital and Furze Platt on its journey to High Wycombe Bus Station stand 11.
Thames Valley Buses said the new service would feature ‘state of the art single deck buses', with free WiFi as well as wireless and USB charging points.
It added in a statement: “The luxury interiors also boast coffee-shop style wood effect flooring, comfortable high back seats with the exterior featuring distinctive purple route branding to assist customers navigating their journeys.”
The company’s simplyMaidenhead ticket zone has been extended to Bourne End, meaning day tickets cost £5.50, while a weekly ticket costs £19.
A new Wycombe zone has been introduced for the Bourne End area, which features £4.70 day tickets and £18 weekly tickets when customers buy on the Thames Valley Buses app.

Reading Buses has introduced a new route between Twyford and Reading
Reading Buses' new route 12 operates between Twyford, Charvil and Reading via Shepherd’s Hill and London Road bus lane.
A ‘special introductory fare’ of £1.50 for a single ticket and £2.30 for a return, will be available to customers for the first two weeks the new route is in operation.
It will run every 30 minutes between 9am and 2.30pm on weekdays, and between 9am and 5pm on Saturdays. The journey from Twyford to Reading on the new route is around 25 minutes.
Reading Buses Chief Executive Officer said Robert Williams said the new route 12 would give passengers ‘even more choice’.
He added: “This service is designed for people wanting to get in and out of Reading for shopping at quieter times of day and general leisure travel.
“By combining with services from our sister company, Thames Valley Buses, we can offer an extended timetable which is useful for a wide variety of needs.”
Route 12 will run alongside existing Thames Valley Buses services, 127, 128 and 129.
The introductory fare will revert to £3 for an adult single ticket and £4.50 for a return ticket from Twyford to Reading, after the two-week offer ends.
Boost tickets for under-19s will be £2.40 single and £4 return from Twyford to Reading.
