Women were invited to share their experiences of using the maternity services at Wexham Park Hospital as part of a £10m revamp.
Organised by the Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust and the Upton Lea Unity charity group, around 30 women talked about how they found the maternity unit at the hospital in Slough and how they felt it could be improved.
“It was about giving women a voice and engaging with them,” said Shaida Akbar from Upton Lea Unity.
“It was an extremely successful and empowering event and I feel like Frimley Health is really dedicated to listening to women.”
Mayor of Slough, Cllr Mohammed Rasib, and his wife, Mayoress Rashid Akhtar Rasib, were also guests.
The event took place on Thursday, November 19 at the Upton Lea Community Centre in Wexham Road.
