The speech and language team at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough celebrated World Voice Day by setting up a stall in the hospital's reception.
The stand attracted patients, staff and visitors wanting to know more about their voices and what they can do to protect their throat and prevent voice disorders.
“The day has helped us raise awareness of the different types of voice problems that can occur and the signs to look out for,” said Eileen Daniel, speech and language manager at the hospital.
“It was also a good opportunity to let people know how much stress and strain we carry around with us and how this can affect the way we talk, and over a prolonged period of time, how these emotions impact on the sound of our voices."
World Voice day was held on Thursday, April 16.
