Lunnon back for crunch Sevenoaks relegation encounter

HENLEY Hawks entertain Sevenoaks at Dry Leas tomorrow (Saturday) in a huge game for both sides in their quest to avoid relegation from National 2 Division East.

Just a point separates the two teams in the league table heading into the contest, and it was just a point that separated them when they met back in November with the Kent side coming out on top, 27-26.

Like Henley, Sevenoaks have found it tough going this season and have relied heavily on their home form which has seen them pick up five of their six victories to date. Their best result this being a 45-12 triumph against league leaders Old Albanian back in October.

In fly-half Ben Adams Sevenoaks also have one top point scorers in the league, so Henley will need to make sure they keep the penalty count down to a minimum.

Hawks director of rugby Luke Allen will be pleased to have Sam Lunnon back in the starting line-up, with the experienced second row having recovered from an ankle injury sustained in the loss to Old Albanian back in January. Elsewhere in the pack, Fin Basil starts at blindside flanker with Scott White reverting to the bench, whilst the front row is the same that started against both Oxford Harlequins and Esher.

In the backs, there is a return for Ollie Snook at fly-half in place of Max Titchener. Meanwhile, Seb Scott also returns to the matchday line-up on the right wing with George Wood also in the starting side at fullback.

The provisional Henley Hawks side to face Sevenoaks is as follows: 1 Moses Fakatou, 2 Spencer Hayhow, 3 Luke Shpylka, 4 Ben Elsey, 5 Sam Lunnon, 6 Fin Basil, 7 Max Brown, 8 Will Benning, 9 Leo Webb, 10 Ollie Snook, 11 Lailand Gordon, 12 Jimmy Leach, 13 Callum Jones, 14 Seb Scott, 15 George Wood. Replacements: 16 Beau Delaney, 17 Louis Bailey, 18 Scott White, 19 Oskar White, 20 Oscar Busby.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Henley 2ndss visit County rivals Chinnor 3rds for a 2pm kick off. On Sunday, Henley Hawks Women are at home to Trojans, kick-off 2pm.
