ORATORY pupils gained further success at last weekend at Queen’s Club in London, when Max Schuetz and Archie Watson retained the National Schools’ U18s Real Tennis Doubles Championship having won the title last year.
The duo progressed through the competition before facing off against Radley College’s number one pair. In a tight contest, Schuetz and Watson played with composure to close out the match 6-4, 6-4.
Head of Oratory racquets and reigning ladies’ real tennis World Champion, Claire Fahey, said: “Last year was the first time we had won the national U18 doubles title, and I am delighted the boys have been able to win the event back-to-back.
“Having won the U13 event earlier in the
season, it was wonderful to win the U18 tournament again.”
