All Souls Day Jazz Festival to visit Slough for first time

The 14th London All Souls Day Jazz Festival 2024 is at Curve Venue in Slough next week.

Traditionally a musical tribute to the late jazz masters and friends, the festival is organised by the Association of Polish Jazz Musicians in London.

The London All Souls Jazz Festival is an annual November tradition of music and remembrance in, originating in Krakow, Poland.

Jazz musicians gather in tribute to the late jazz masters who have inspired generations through a shared love of improvisation and collaboration.

This traditional festival makes it to Slough, for the very first time.

Audiences can hear the compositions of great jazz artists from history as well as original tunes.

Giving life to this festival is Anita Lazinska (piano and Vocals), Aleksandra Topczewska (saxophone), David Frydrych (trumpet), Jakbu Cywinski (bass) and Eric Ford (drums).

Vocalist Marta Mathea Radwan, a Polish conductor, arranger and workshop leader, will host the festival.

She has been on the professional stage for over 30 years performing in Poland, Denmark and the UK, as a singer, conductor and musical director.

She is a person of great charisma, leadership and infectious enthusiasm, and her versatility shows in the roles and musical styles she has successfully assumed as a musician after working in studio recording and live-stage performance.

This event is programmed by Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, as part of the partnership between Norden Farm and Slough Borough Council to develop the venue at The Curve as a key cultural community hub for Slough.

It is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

The 14th London All Souls Day Jazz Festival 2024 is at Curve Venue in Slough on Saturday 16 November at 7.30pm. Tickets are £15.
