The line-up on the BBC Music Introducing Stage at Reading Festival has been announced for 2024.

BBC Music Introducing is BBC Radio’s platform supporting unsigned, undiscovered, and under-the-radar UK music talent.

Its dedicated stage has been a staple of Reading & Leeds festivals since 2008, playing a pivotal part in highlighting up-and-coming artists.

For 2024’s lively music festival in Reading, more than 80 per cent of the line up have been championed through BBC Introducing.

Joining this first slate of acts are the alt four-piece band South Arcade, London-based boy band Soft Launch, gen-z popstar Beren Olivia, and Reading-local star of social media Cameron Hayes.

Also announced are grime rapper from Newcastle NE-O, R&B hip-hop icon Aziya, Brighton-born R&B soul songwriter Lyamah, and DnB hybrid trio NOISY.

Joining them is Welsh grime producer Douvelle19, Glasgow-based band Bottle Rockets, songwriter Nina Arya and Jamaican-Irish rapper JayaHadADream.

Other artists include pop singer and producer Michael Aldag, goth grunge Leeds locals Venus Grrrls, hip-hop and grime star Prido, soon to be pop icon Alessi Rose, Bengali-British rapper Surya Sen, pop-punk sister dup Baby Said and indie-pop band, daydreamers.

Previously announced are Halifax’s songstress Ellur, York based indie-rock band Sun King, Hull’s electro-punk Jodie Langford and Barnsley’s genre-defining Delilah Bon.

Melvin Benn, managing director of Festival Republic, which runs the event, said: “BBC Music Introducing is a key part of what Reading & Leeds stands for, championing new talent and giving them a chance to expand their audiences on the most impactful stages in the country.

“The remarkable number of acts across the entire lineup, including headliners, who have come through BBC Introducing highlights its significance for the future of live music.

Kelly Betts, BBC Music Introducing editor, said: “The festivals are a highlight in our calendar and help transform the careers of emerging artists.

“Eighty-three per cent of the line-up at Reading & Leeds this year were supported by Introducing including Raye, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Two Door Cinema Club and Beabadoobee. Come and discover the future of music with us.”
