Driving school in Maidenhead raises £500 for Thames Valley Adventure Playground

TAPLOW 136052

A Maidenhead driving school has made a generous donation to Thames Valley Adventure Playground (TVAP) in time for Christmas.

Ace Drivewise, based on Curls Lane, has been supporting Taplow-based TVAP, which offers play activities for both children and adults with disabilities, for many years.

Company directors Ken Kang and Khush Dhaliwal visited TVAP to hand over a £500 cheque yesterday (December 19).

Khush said: "All the driving instructors at Ace Drivewise help support and provide funds towards this [initiative] and obviously there's no better time than Christmas. During the year we try and do some team events to try and help out whenever we can.

"We got a message of thanks [from TVAP] as it's always appreciated by all the people that use the services there. We want to support the local community, and help local families that have nowhere else to go."

A spokesperson from TVAP added: “Everyone at Thames Valley Adventure Playground are so grateful for the ongoing and kind support from the amazing team at Ace Drivewise. We would simply not be able to continue without the support of incredibly generous individuals and organizations such as Ace Drivewise.

“We appreciate that many in our community are living through serious financial difficulties at this time; and unfortunately so are we – which threatens our ability to continue to support both individuals and families. We would be so grateful to anyone who felt they could contribute (no matter how little) towards the continued running of the Playground.”
