LIVE: Slough Town vs Torquay United

Good evening,

Slough Town host Torquay United at Arbour Park this evening as the Rebels look to end their winless run in the National League South.

Tonight's opponents don't come much tougher though with Paul Wotton's side sitting top of the fiercely competitive division.

Full time: A remarkable finish which sums up the despair and elation football can serve up. Slough thought they'd thrown away a well-earned point against the league leaders. But the Rebels kept going and, spurred on by the supporters behind the goal, managed to find an equaliser deep into injury time.

'90+6: Goal! Slough Town 2-2 Torquay United. Dan Bayliss has turned makeshift centre forward and boy has it paid off! He sends a looping header which hangs agonisingly in the air before dropping into the net. And that's full-time. What a remarkable finish.

'90: Six minutes of added time for Slough to try and find an equaliser.

'89: Goal. Slough Town 1-2 Torquay United. Dean Moxey steals home at the back post to snatch a late winner.

'83: Dan Bayliss the latest in the book and they don't come more cynical than that. Jenkins-Davies jinks past the Rebels centre-half and Bayliss brings him to the floor.

'80: Heading into the final 10 minutes and Slough are knocking the ball around with real purpose. Can the Rebels find a winner?

'76: Omar Mussa fronts up Davies, finds a yard and arrows another shot at goal. It flies over but another remind of the danger he poses.

'72: Oooof that was close. Slavi Spasov bundles his way to the edge of the box and manages to get his shot away but it deflects narrowly over the bar.

'70: Slough substitution. David Ogbonna replaced by Ody Alfa. I suspect Torquay will not be unhappy to see the back of him.

More on goal: Great work from David Ogbonna who once again wriggles free down the right-hand side. His cutback falls perfectly to Goddard who can't miss. Game on.

'62: Goal! Slough Town 1-1 Torquay United. Johnny Goddard.

'60: This game is starting to get stretched now. Jordan Young finds space in the pocket, finds Omar Mussa who lashes narrowly over the bar. Both those two look dangerous for The Gulls.

'58: The bookings are mounting up now. Jenkins-Davies is the latest player to be carded for a foul in the middle of the park.

'56: The referee has drawn the ire of the Torquay fans behind the goal. Omar Mussa escapes the clutches of Scott Davies on the touchline. The Slough player/manager is convinced it's a throw and the referee agrees - much to the anger of the visiting supporters.

'55: Second substitution for Torquay. Will Jenkins-Davies replaces Dylan Morgan.

'51: Dan Bayliss meets a corner at the near post but his flicked header can't be turned home. The centre half kicks the advertising board in frustration. Big chance.

'49: Leon Parillon shows real guile as he surges past one, two, three Torquay defenders. It could have been a sensational goal but he just can't get his shot away.

'46: Chance for Torquay. A cross into the box is flicked onto the head of Omar Mussa but his effort is turned away for a corner. The resulting set-piece ends in a goalmouth scramble which Slough somehow survive.

Half time: Slough 0-1 Torquay United. The Rebels have given a good account of themselves but trail following the early defensive mistake. Scott Davies' side have grown as the half has progressed with David Ogbonna and Francis Amartey both posing problems down the flanks. Slough will need to be wary of Torquay's threat on the counter, though, as the visitors could have doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time.

'45: Jordan Young whips the resulting free-kick inches over the bar. That looked a goal from back here in the press box. And that's half-time.

'45: Just as Slough look to be pushing for an equaliser, the visitors show their danger on the counter attack. David Ogbonna goes in the book for a last-ditch challenge on the edge of the area.

'41: Johnny Goddard lofts a Slough corner into the area but it's headed over by Dan Bayliss. Slough enjoying their best spell of the game.

'39: Great work by Francis Amartey who drives down the left hand channel before delivering a low cross which is intercepted by Hamon.

'37: Chance! David Ogbonna's cutback rolls into the path of Johnny Goddard in the middle of the area but his effort is kept out by Gulls keeper James Hamon.

'33: The Rebels are trying to hit David Ogbonna with cross-field balls but full-back Jay Foulston has been wise to it so far. The Rebels win a corner but it's overhit. An opportunity squandered.

'22: Torquay nearly open up Slough again. A ball is dropped in over the Slough backline and Charlie Horlock has to be alert to rush off his line and avert the danger.

'15: The Torquay fans are unhappy as Omar Mussa is clattered into near the corner flag but the referee keeps his cards in his pocket. The Gulls fans strike up a chant about their 'dirty, northern' opponents. Presumably a well-used chants for the South West side...

'12: Goal. Slough Town 0-1 Torquay United. Scott Davies makes a hash of his clearance and Jordan Young nips in to fire home.

'8: Slough Town win a free-kick which Johnny Goddard clips into a dangerous area but it's cleared by The Gulls. Henry Ochieng has just picked up the first yellow card of the game.

Underway at Arbour Park and there's a decent atmosphere brewing with both sets of supporters gathered behind each goal. No chances to speak of in the opening exchanges.
