Britain’s best-loved cook, Mary Berry, will host an exclusive Q&A event at a hotel in Windsor next month.

The intimate evening of canapés, fizz and storytelling with the TV chef celebrates her 90th birthday with a book signing and Q&A about her new BBC book, Mary 90.

Having written more than 80 books, Mary 90 marks a landmark celebration of her life in food, which accompanies a major new BBC TV series launching this autumn.

Guests will be among the first to receive a treasured early copy of Mary Berry’s new book and meet the legendary TV chef in person at The Castle Hotel on Monday, October 13.

The illustrated book includes a career-spanning collection of iconic, fuss-free recipes for every occasion, accompanied by Mary’s stories and cherished family photographs.

Mary shares 90 of her very best recipes, including tried-and-tested classics perfected over a lifetime of cooking.

From dishes like Chicken Coconut Traybake and a freezer-friendly Mac and Cheese to desserts like Chocolate Baileys Mousse and Raspberry Soufflé, the collection features a mix of brand-new recipes and beloved classics for every home cook.

Cluster General Manager, Shaun Bowles, said: “It is such a privilege to be welcoming the legendary Mary Berry to The Castle Hotel, Windsor, in October.

“As one of Britain’s most loved personalities, her presence promises to make this a truly unforgettable evening for both the local community and those travelling from further afield.

“We are honoured to host such an iconic figure in British food culture as she celebrates this remarkable milestone in her career and life.”

The storied surroundings of Windsor High Street make the perfect setting for the exclusive event after Mary Berry was made a Dame Commander by the Prince of Wales for a lifetime of cooking, writing, and baking at Windsor Castle in 2021.

On arrival at the 16th-century boutique hotel, guests will be served a welcome glass of fizz, a selection of canapés, and receive a copy of a signed Mary 90, all included in the ticket price.

Andrew Try, Lord Lieutenant of Berkshire, will then lead a Q&A session, exploring Mary’s world of timeless British cuisine as she shares cherished recipes and stories from her career.

Tickets cost £28 and include a welcome glass of fizz, canapés, a signed copy of Mary 90, and access to the Q&A session.
