Witnesses are being asked to come forward after a car was twice reversed into the window of a fish and chip shop in Datchet.
Between 10pm and 10.30pm on Friday, a group of about seven or eight men, all described as white, entered Ocean Blue Fish and Chips and were verbally abusive to staff.
A short time later a black estate car, possibly an Audi, reversed into the front window of the shop twice, causing significant damage to the window and narrowing missing a man on the pavement.
A 19-year-old man from Slough was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and has been bailed until Wednesday, October 26.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant said: “We are taking this incident very seriously and would like any witnesses to come forward and speak to police, even if they don’t want to provide formal statements at this time.
“We are particularly keen to speak to the male member of the public who was narrowly missed by the vehicle.”
