Swan Support is the 2023 charity that will be supported by The Swan Community pub in Clewer.
Volunteer-run Swan Support in Datchet is regularly called upon to advise other organisations such as the RSPCA. In 2021, they attended around 1,500 rescues, increasing in 2022.
As in previous years, nominations for local charities were requested in January and a poll launched in February. More than 1,000 votes were cast.
The first event for Swan Support was a coffee morning held on Friday, February 24, in the pub.
Home-made cakes donated by our regulars and supporters raised more than £400 for Swan Support.
Coffee mornings are held on the last Friday of every month, with a hot drink and a cake just £5 and all proceeds going to charity.
The Swan is also working with Swan Support to see what other fundraising activities it could do together.
