Walking out at Wembley Stadium with the league champions is a dream for many young football fans.
That dream became reality on Sunday for nine-year-old Jamie Dobson from Cox Green, who won the chance to be a player escort for the 2013 FA Community Shield between Manchester United and Wigan Athletic.
Jamie, of Lancaster Road, made his appearance in front of more than 80,000 fans after his dad entered him in a competition on the McDonald's KickStart website.
"It was brilliant," said Jamie, who was paired with Manchester United starlet Wilfried Zaha.
"We were put in height order and the players went out in position order. Walking out with Zaha made my day.
"I was just happy to be out on Wembley the turf."
The young mascot received a complete United kit and a goody bag, full of football memorabilia to remember the day.
It was a chance for the Courthouse Junior School pupil to rub shoulders with two of his favourite players, Robin van Persie and David de Gea, and he proved to be a lucky charm, with David Moyes' side securing the silverware.
Having sat in the VIP area as the players warmed-up, Jamie watched the game in the stands with his dad Kevin, mum Sarah and sister Hannah,13, who were all given complimentary tickets as part of the day.
Jamie, who plays for Marlow Football Club youth side, ranks becoming a professional footballer as one of his dream jobs - alongside a professional kung-fu fighter and a Lego maker.
