Senior staff at Thames Hospice will be getting a sweat on by taking part in a 24-hour treadmill challenge.
The Senior Management Team from the Hatch Lane-based charity in Windsor is set to begin the gruelling challenge on Thursday at 10am.
They are aiming to walk the equivalent distance from the hospice to the charity’s 15 shops, about 83 miles, on a treadmill in the main reception.
A £3,000 fundraising target has been set by the staff, with the challenge due to finish on Friday morning.
Debbie Raven, chief executive of Thames Hospice, said: "Each day we witness the expert care and compassion shown to patients and families when they need it the most.
“Thames Hospice is a 24-hour operation, open 365 days a year, and the least we can do is challenge ourselves for a day to show our support for the teams delivering such vital frontline services.”
