A spokesperson for GWR said: “We’re proud to be an official partner for the first ever Windsor & Eton Pride, supporting our LGBT+ customers and colleagues as they travel to celebrate this incredible moment in Windsor’s history.

“This partnership demonstrates both our commitment to supporting local community events, as well as serving as a reminder that GWR welcomes everyone, whether working or travelling with us, to be their most authentic self.

“Travelling by rail is one of the most accessible ways to enjoy Windsor & Eton Pride.

"Trains will however be busy, so plan ahead, travel smart and just remember to allow yourself time for the journey home including connecting services.

"If you are travelling from further afield check the time of your last train home.”

Steve Harris, organiser of Windsor & Eton Pride, added: “Windsor & Eton Pride is finally here after a huge amount of time, effort and love going into the planning.

“Having the Great Western network on our doorstep makes it so much easier to attend, and we are so grateful to GWR for not only for being an official partner, but for also supporting people to get to and from the celebrations.

“Having organisations such as GWR support the LGBT+ community in this way helps people feel included, welcomed, and safe, not just during Pride, but throughout the whole year.”
