Over the weekend of Friday 12 and Saturday 13 July, Maidenheads biggest music festival saw its biggest crowd ever over at Fifield for music, food and fun, writes Lauren Evans.
For the first time ever, the festival took place as a two-day event, with music, food, camping and glamping all available on the Friday afternoon and evening, building up the atmosphere with a pre-festival party.
With sunny skies, festival goers were able to enjoy two stages of live music, a host of kid friendly entertainment, a multitude of food and drink stalls and finally a festival merchandise stand.
Headlining this year on the main stage was Cast who had the crowd dancing and singing to both their new tracks and chart-toppers.
Some of the other crowd favourites included Heather Small who took the main stage on Saturday evening with the crowd enjoying her hits ‘Moving on up’ and ‘Proud’.
Returning from last year, Shaun Williamson (or Barry Evans from EastEnders), as part of his Barrioke tour, had fans lining up to take part in the sing-alongs.
Fans also enjoyed Kevin and Perry Official DJ set and Rick Parfitt Jr brought the ‘RPJ’ band playing both classic anthems and party hits.
Headlining on Friday was a Guns ‘n’ Roses tribute band named ‘Guns 2 Roses’, who played some of the bands most famous hits for the early arrivals to enjoy.
The Fi.Fest Kidzone was jam packed with fun activities for all the younger crowd members, this included a laser tag zone, medieval battle arena, inflatable fun park, arts & crafts, a kids’ theatre and more.
Fi.Fest organisers said: “Fi.Fest 2024 was fantastic from start to finish. We can’t thank Fi.Festers enough for truly getting into the spirit and making the most of every second of a wonderful weekend.
Fi.Fest gets bigger and better every year thanks to the support of our amazing communities, the incredible talent that perform for us and the hard-working team and traders who work their socks off to deliver the very best in festival experiences.
