People to Places, which provides community and ShopMobility services in the Royal Borough, has been awarded £9,400 in funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.
People to Places will use the funding to support its Wider Welfare project, which supports its volunteers and local community projects, including the creation of a volunteer manager role.
National Lottery players raise over £30million a week for good causes across the UK. The National Lottery Community Fund distributes a share of this to projects to support people and communities to prosper and thrive.
Peter Haley, CEO of People to Places, said: “Thanks to National Lottery players, this grant means that we can provide more support and give more back to our amazing volunteers, in addition to providing more support to our local community groups. Our volunteers are the critical to the operation of our charity; this award means we can hopefully attract more people to volunteer with us to we can provide our essential community transport services to those who need them.”
