Craft Coop Maidenhead
The Craft Coop is encouraging people to get involved in the last week of its Giving Tree project.
Each year, the creative Community Interest Company (CIC) transforms its shops to bring the community together give donations to support local good causes in the Royal Borough.
This year, the Craft Coop has once again brought back its Giving Tree, with one situated in each of its shops, including in Maidenhead and Windsor.
This year, the initiative is supporting families in need in the area through Maidenhead Foodshare and the Rotary Club of Maidenhead.
Through the support of RBWM officers and social workers, the initiative is also supporting individual residents in need, spanning a range of ages and wishes.
Gift ideas include games, gift cards, sweet treats and specific requests.
In Windsor, the initiative is supporting Foodshare and Windsor Street Angels, alongside Craft Coop’s Charity of the Year Well Windsor.
The team is collecting a range of items in Windsor, including sweet treats, family games, winter warmers (such as gloves, blankets and sleeping bags), and monetary donations over the till.
Over the years, the project has helped raise thousands of contributions and gifts for those in need across the community.
Donations are being accepted until the close of business on Monday, December 22.
Heidi Berry, director at the Craft Coop, said: “There’s still time to get involved.
“Each Craft Coop shop has its own Giving Tree, with details of how to donate gifts or contribute, shared in-store and on local social channels.
“We’d appreciate any last minute donations.”
