Police have reassured the public they are tackling dogging at Maidenhead Thicket after PCSOs found a 60-year-old man naked from the waist down.
According to a statement from Thames Valley Police, the man, from High Wycombe, was given a £90 fixed-penalty notice for a public order offence after being discovered on a routine patrol.
Over the past weeks, officers have stepped up patrols in the area of Maidenhead Thicket following reports of ‘sexual activity’ at car parks in Henley Road and Pinkneys Drive.
Inspector Mike Darrah said: “We are aware that there is illegal sexual activity occurring in two car park areas of Maidenhead Thicket.
“We are also aware that there are concerns within the community about the type of activity that is occurring.
“I would like to reassure the community that we have recently increased the number of patrols in these areas and we are working with partners including the National Trust, which owns the land, and Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead council to address these issues.
“This site is used by a lot of different people and groups, including children, and illegal sexual activity of this kind will not be tolerated.
“Offenders will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.”
