The Royal Borough has spent nearly three-quarters-of-a-million pounds on 86 acres of fields and woodlands in Cox Green.
The council today announced the £725,000 purchase of Thriftwood Farm in Ockwells Road at auction and said it would increase the amount of open space and playing fields in the borough.
Cllr Simon Dudley, leader of the council, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to purchase this land which will be made available to our residents to enjoy.
"It is a fantastic opportunity to add land to council stock as open space and this land is adjacent to the very popular Ockwells Park.
"We will develop a balanced master plan for the area in conjunction with partners to make the best use of the new asset.
“We want to build a town for everyone and this will provide recreation facilities for the local community. This is great news for Maidenhead.”
