Firefighters have spent the night tackling a fire at a popular curry house in Cookham.
Crews from Maidenhead, Slough and Aylesbury rushed to the scene at Maliks, in Cookham High Street, at about 1.20am this morning (Tuesday).
Upon arrival, firefighters found that the blaze had spread from the ground floor to the first floor and crews said that one of the occupants had leapt to safety from a first floor window before they arrived.
It took nearly four hours to put out the fire.
A spokesperson for the South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) said: "We received a call at 1.50am from the fire service.
"We sent two ambulances and one rapid response vehicle to the scene.
"We treated two people for leg injuries and smoke inhalation, with one of them being taken to Wexham Park Hospital.
"A further five people were treated for smoke inhalation but did not require hospital treatment."
The condition of the restaurant has been described as ‘OK’ but there is believed to be damage to the entrance.
It is not known how the fire started.
