A FUNDRAISING scheme for a village library has been recognised with a national award.
The Friends of Watlington Library’s annual calendar, which last year raised £1,600 towards the library’s operating costs, was awarded £400 from the Library Campaign for placing first in the fundraising category of its competition for friends groups.
It was also recognised with a special mention for its children’s activities programme.
