A driver was assaulted and threatened after stopping to check his car in Caversham on Thursday.
The 31-year-old man pulled over in Gosbrook Road, close to the junction of St Johns Road, and was punched and threatened by men who stopped in another vehicle.
He sustained bruising to his head, a grazed shoulder and a split lip.
Both men are black, in their mid to late 20s, and slim. One was 5ft 9ins and wearing a blue or grey vest top. The other was 6ft and wore shorts.
There were a number of cars around at the time and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault to contact them.
