After a successful launch in 2015, the Twyford family picnic returned for another year on Saturday.
Families gathered at Stanlake Meadow from noon onwards for a range of free and fun activities.
There was a climbing wall, bouncy castles and art competitions, while families could take part in a school sports day.
Events included a sack race and tug-of-war.
New additions this year included tea cup rides and an inflatable laser maze.
At 2pm, visitors stepped back in time to the 1640s during an English Civil War arena display which adults and children could take part in.
The event was organised by Twyford Parish Council, which said it was 'delighted' with the postive feedback from visitors.
Council chairman, Roy Mantel, said: "The civil war re-enactment by the John Bright's Regiment of Foote lent a historical highlight to the day, with their true-to-life presentation of a striking period in our history."
