A skilled barber says she is fulfilling a lifelong ambition by opening a business in Twyford.
Wendy Greedy, who has more than 20 years' experience working as a barber in Henley and Reading, last month opened The Village Barbers in Church Street.
It replaced The Dressing Room, a ladies fashion boutique that has moved to a new store in Loddon Park Farm.
Wendy, a former Waingels Cox student from Woodley, said her husband spent fewer than two weeks decorating the traditional barbers shop.
"It’s very scary, but it’s exciting and scary rolled into one," she said.
"So far it’s been great, all the customers have been really pleased and they all say they’re coming back.
"I felt like the opportunity was a good one. Everyone is Twyford has been really lovely and the shops around me are also really nice."
